Kindergarten

“Graduating” and moving on to Kindergarten placed an emotional strain on me.

It is the first time I remember being separated from Allison. Twinning is a very interesting relationship- for me there has not been any other relationship as strong. I worry sometimes that this tight relationship limited the strength of my relationships with Roy and Nancy.

It certainly made me anxious about going to morning kindergarten and having Allison go to afternoon class. It all worked out fine and I’m sure we needed the separation to develop our own personalities. Regardless of the school systems’ determination to separate us in class we are emotionally entwined for life!

I did have fun times with paint- one warm day Mrs. Moss took the finger paint outside and we all took our shoes off and painted with our feet- it was deliciously cool since she mixed it with starch.

I also have some dim memory of snack time (way too healthy!) and the unfairness in my mind of napping at morning kindergarten as well as at home in the afternoon while Allison got off Scot-free on the nap time.
