Labeled 'Great Grandfather Loeffel' in Auntie Boo's handwriting.   Name inferred to be 'August' per conversation with Mom.

August Loeffel appears in the 1880 Census of Chicago, Cook, Illinois.  At the time, he states his age as 64, which places his birth year as 1816.  At the same census, he is shown as married to Minnie Loeffel, which confirms the first name.  Note that he is 34 years her senior.
